Software developer from Oyten.
I’m Tim, and what I like building most are small things that solve a real problem. Usually I had the problem myself, and the solution is rarely bigger than it calls for.
Whatever needs a server runs on my own servers in the EU, most of it behind a login. Leaving it to a provider would be less work. But if people trust me with their data, I want to know where it sits and who can look at it.
I write down what I decide along the way. Six months on, nobody remembers why something is the way it is. Me least of all.
From 2007 to 2024 I coached football teams. Youth teams first, then as assistant coach for the men’s side and finally as goalkeeping coach. For seventeen years I was basically doing the same as at work, teaching people things. These days I run, cycle and am a father. Some of the software on this site was built for my family.
And this site is plain HTML: no script, nothing from anyone else’s servers.
What I work with
This list is drawn from the project pages and the other repositories on GitHub: what is actually in use there, not a wish list.
At work it is a different list. → Work
